Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
Description
Peppermint is one of the most extensively researched essential oils. This all-natural essential oil has a surprisingly diverse number of uses, including providing temporary relief for various health conditions. It's no surprise that studies have shown peppermint to be effective in easing symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Peppermint oil is a traditional herbal medicine that has been used for thousands of years to soothe stomach discomfort and ease related symptoms, like nausea and heartburn. Even back in the day, you knew it was peppermint oil because it would leave a cooling sensation and minty fresh smell all over your body. Yet another reason why peppermint is one of the most loved herbs, which makes it perfect for our brand.
Peppermint essential oil is extracted from the leaves and flowering tops of the peppermint plant. The scent is sharp, sweet and revitalizing. It has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties that can benefit your whole body. Try it in a bath or for massage to relieve stress or pain. Avoid use on areas that will come into contact with the eyes.
How to Use
Essential oils are not meant to be taken orally. Some possible side effects from taking peppermint extract orally include heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. Choose an extract if you’re adding peppermint oil to food. We personally recommend using peppermint topically on the chest for cold/flu relief and enjoying some in your favorite tea.
